Do you want to speak English smoothly for the IELTS exam?
If you go blank, get nervous, translate in your head, or know what you want to say but cannot produce it under pressure, you do not just need more IELTS information. You need to speak, get feedback, correct the problem, repeat it — and learn to perform under pressure.
First: watch the 40-minute masterclass.
Why students get stuck, what Band 7 actually requires, and why a small coaching group can solve problems that self-study cannot.
You can “know English” and still freeze in IELTS.
Speaking is a performance skill. In the exam you have to retrieve vocabulary, organise your ideas, control your grammar, pronounce clearly and keep talking while an examiner is waiting for your answer.
That is why many students sound much better when they are relaxed — but their level drops when they are nervous, timed or asked a question they did not expect.
If that is your problem, simply watching more lessons is not enough. You have to train the performance itself.
Stop practising the same mistakes again and again.
Practice only works when the loop contains diagnosis and correction. That is the difference between simply “speaking more” and deliberately training the skill that is holding your band down.
Three things self-study usually misses.
Pressure performance
Train answering when you do not have unlimited thinking time. Learn to recover from mistakes, handle unfamiliar questions and keep your answer moving instead of freezing.
Coach feedback
You need someone to hear what you are actually doing — not what you think you are doing — and show you the fastest skill to fix next.
Daily repetition
Use the live training, app practice and coach-led correction to build faster retrieval, clearer answers and greater control between sessions.
Why I will not put 100 students in the Speaking Accelerator.
I can teach Reading, Listening and Writing to a large group because those skills can be demonstrated and practised at scale. Speaking needs access. You need opportunities to answer. I need to hear you. You need feedback. Then you need time to try again. That is why each Speaking Accelerator group is capped at 10 students maximum.
12-Week IELTS Speaking Accelerator.
Built for IELTS students who are tired of knowing more English than they can actually produce when the pressure is on.
Everything included
Built for the student who can do more than they show.
This is for you if...
- You go blank when the examiner asks a question.
- You know vocabulary but cannot retrieve it quickly when speaking.
- You translate in your head before answering.
- You become nervous and your English gets worse under pressure.
- You keep making the same speaking mistakes because nobody corrects the pattern.
- You need a higher IELTS Speaking score and want a coach-led system rather than more random practice.
This is not the right fit if...
- You only want passive videos and do not want to speak live.
- You are unwilling to practise, repeat and be corrected.
- You want a class with hundreds of anonymous students.
- You only need Reading, Listening and Writing training and do not currently need speaking coaching.
Train for the score you need — not just more information.
Smooth English students have used coached practice, correction and focused skill training to improve their IELTS performance. The Accelerator applies that same principle directly to the part of the test where passive study breaks down fastest: speaking under pressure.
Before you request a place.
Why is the Speaking Accelerator more expensive than the £97 programme?
The £97 Reading, Listening and Writing programme can be taught to a much larger group. Speaking requires much more coach access: students need actual speaking time, individual observation, correction, repetition and pressure practice. That is why the Accelerator is capped at only 10 students.
What is the normal price?
The planned regular price for the 12-week Small-Group Speaking Accelerator is £997. For the early-bird intake, the offer is £500.
How many students are in each group?
Maximum 10. The cap exists so students can actually speak, receive coach feedback and get repeated practice rather than sitting silently in a large class.
What if my main problem is getting nervous or going blank?
That is one of the main reasons the programme exists. You will deliberately train retrieval and answer-building under time and performance pressure rather than only practising when you are relaxed.
Does the programme include the Actually Speak app?
Yes. App access is included so you can continue structured speaking practice between the live coach-led sessions.
What happens when I click “Request My Place”?
You will be taken to the current Smooth English coaching request flow where you can provide your present level, target band and exam deadline. This lets the team understand your goal before discussing enrolment.
If Speaking is the skill that disappears under pressure, train it differently.
