Receipts, not promises

Real students. Real receipts.

Verified score evidence, real messages, and live coaching moments. Start with Lee’s result after only 14 days of focused coaching.

Latest win · 14-day transformation

“Sir — I made it. In speaking.”

Lee · Band 7.0 overall in 14 days · Verified score certificate

Lee entered the IELTS test after just two weeks of focused coaching and achieved Band 7.0 overall: Listening 7.5, Reading 8.0, Writing 6.0, and Speaking 6.0. The result gave him the score he needed to move forward with his university plans.

The problem is not a lack of effort

Are you taking more classes — or actually improving?

Many students work hard for months while the same score-limiting habits stay untouched. These are the warning signs that more general teaching is not enough.

×

The score does not move

You write essay after essay, but the same structure, grammar, and task-response problems keep the band score stuck.

×

You still freeze

You understand English, but under speaking pressure you pause, translate, lose your ideas, or give answers that are too short.

×

Feedback changes nothing

You are told to “use better vocabulary” or “develop ideas,” but nobody turns that advice into a correction task you can train.

The Smooth IELTS coaching loop

Three stages. Focused training. Real improvement.

You are not given another pile of generic lessons. Every week follows a simple loop that finds the real problem, trains the missing skill, and checks that it holds up under pressure.

1

Diagnose the block

We identify the exact habits lowering your score across speaking, writing, listening, or reading — based on real performance, not guesswork.

2

Coach and practise

You learn the next skill you actually need, then apply it through live coaching, targeted tasks, app practice, and exam-style exercises.

3

Correct and retest

Feedback becomes a correction drill. The skill is repeated under pressure until the new pattern is stronger than the old mistake.

Feedback is not the finish line. The correction loop is the training.

Smooth IELTS vs the old way

Same goal. Opposite approach.

Both promise IELTS improvement. Only one is designed around your actual score blocks and the skills examiners measure.

Your first two weeks

You will not wait months to understand what is wrong.

The first 14 days create clarity: diagnose the score blocks, introduce focused feedback, and build a repeatable training loop.

Days 1–3

Complete the diagnostic

We map your current level, target score, test date, and the specific habits really holding the score back. No more guessing from day one.

Week 1

Get the first real feedback

Real speaking practice and native-speaker feedback show exactly what to fix — followed by correction tasks, not vague advice.

Week 2

Build a repeatable system

Your speaking answers begin to hold structure under pressure, and the first writing corrections come back. The path forward becomes clear.

Why a maximum of 10 per class

Small groups, not crowded classrooms.

In a class of 20 or 30, even a strong teacher cannot deeply diagnose every student. Smooth IELTS caps classes at 10 — small enough for your problems to be seen and trained, but large enough to learn from other students too.

You get live coaching, feedback, accountability, shared examples, and targeted practice built around your strengths and weaknesses. Small group does not mean one-size-fits-all.

10
Maximum per class

Personal enough for feedback. Shared enough for motivation and momentum.

Every student starts with a diagnostic

What we examine before the training

Two students can share the same target score and still have completely different problems. That is why one-size-fits-all wastes time.

· Current level and recent scores · Target band and test date · Strongest and weakest skills · Speaking pressure and freezing · Answer logic and fluency · Translation habits · Grammar control · Pronunciation clarity · Vocabulary activation · Writing task response · Essay structure and coherence · Reading and listening timing · Question strategy · What you have already tried

Not sure which fits? We will look at the student’s current score, deadline, weak skills, and available study time before recommending a plan.

Not sure which path to choose?

Let’s build the right IELTS plan.

Tell us the student’s current level, target score, test date, strongest and weakest skills, and weekly availability. We will recommend Speaking & Writing, Four-Skill, or another route if neither programme is the right fit.

This is a diagnostic conversation first. If a programme fits, we explain why. If it does not, we tell you honestly.

For students and parents

The questions that matter before you invest.

Whether you are preparing yourself or paying for a student’s future, you should know exactly how the programme works.

Yes. Every class is capped at 10 students, so performance patterns can be seen and trained. Students get the accountability and energy of a group without disappearing in a class of 20 or 30.
Yes. Two students can share a target score but need completely different things — Speaking confidence, Writing structure, grammar accuracy, Reading timing, or Listening focus. Diagnosis shapes the practice, feedback, and correction work around the student’s actual needs.
A cheaper class can become expensive when months pass with generic lessons, slow feedback, and no clear score movement. The real cost may be another test fee, a delayed application, a missed university deadline, or more money spent later fixing the same problems.
Yes. The weekly rhythm is clear: attend live coaching, receive feedback, complete correction tasks, practise in the app, use the AI training, and retest the skill. Progress is built through a system, not motivation alone.
Matthew Fabling is the founder of Smooth English and has more than 15 years of English and IELTS teaching experience. His coaching focuses on the skills that commonly block students: answer logic, fluency, Writing structure, grammar habits, vocabulary activation, pronunciation, and performance under pressure.
IELTS is usually a gate to something bigger — university, study abroad, a visa, professional registration, or a career opportunity. The goal is not to finish another course. It is to build the score and performance needed for that next step.

Before you get in touch, know this.

Twelve weeks is not magic — but it is enough time to make serious progress when the training is focused. Writing often improves faster because it is visible, correctable, and structure-based. Speaking improves in structure, confidence, fluency control, vocabulary activation, and exam technique, while deeper fluency takes longer.

This programme is not for passive students. It is for people willing to speak, write, practise, receive feedback, correct mistakes, and train consistently. If you want a shortcut without doing the work, this is not the right fit. If you want a clear system and honest coaching, it may be exactly what you need.

Best suited to intermediate students around Band 5 to 6.5. If the fit is wrong, we will say so and recommend a better path.

FAQ

Straight answers

No. Traditional classes teach the same lesson to everyone. Smooth IELTS is built around diagnosis, coaching, feedback, correction, and targeted training based on real strengths and weaknesses.
For many students, yes. You receive coaching, feedback, accountability, and the chance to learn from other students’ mistakes at a lower cost than private one-to-one. One-to-one remains useful for deep individual polishing, but small groups offer a strong balance of value, pressure practice, and momentum.
That is exactly why this approach is different. Many courses provide information but never diagnose the specific blocker or create a training path to fix it. Previous classes do not mean the student failed — the system may simply have failed to diagnose the problem.
Twelve weeks is enough for meaningful progress when the training is focused and the student is consistent. Results depend on the starting point, target score, test date, attendance, practice, and completion of correction tasks.
The accelerators are designed mainly for intermediate students around Band 5 to 6.5. If the foundation is not ready, we will recommend a more suitable route rather than selling the wrong programme.
Choose the schedule that fits the goal. Speaking & Writing runs two days per week; Four-Skill runs four days per week. Both remove random study and replace it with a clear weekly structure.
No. Live coaching provides diagnosis, direction, and feedback. The app and AI training provide extra repetitions between sessions.
We begin with a diagnostic conversation about the student’s current level, target score, deadline, weak skills, and available study time. If a programme fits, we explain why. If it does not, we tell you honestly.
